ChapatiWar Privacy Policy
ChapatiWar is a mobile game made by TahaGamesStudio in Tunisia ("we"). This page explains what data the game uses, why, and the choices you have.
- The game works without an account. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or contacts.
- Play data and error reports are sent to us only if you say yes. You can change your answer at any time in Settings.
- Ads are rewarded only: an ad plays only after you tap a button to watch one. AppLovin shows the ads and collects some device data to do it.
- Google Play handles purchases. We never see your card or bank details.
- We don't sell your personal data.
What we collect and why
1. On your phone
Your game save stays on your phone: your progress, your settings, your privacy choices, and a record of what you bought (the Google Play order number) so your items can be given back if needed. The first time it starts, the game also creates a random install ID. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or advertising ID.
2. Play data (only if you say yes)
If you agree, the game sends us short notes about how it is played. They help us find levels that are too hard, fix problems and plan updates:
- the random install ID, a random ID for each play session, the game version, and the date and time on your phone;
- what happens in the game: sessions, levels started and finished (with the result), revives, tutorial steps, quests, events and gas bottle refills;
- rewarded ads: where you watched one, whether you got the reward, which ad network showed it and AppLovin's estimate of what the ad earned;
- purchases: which product you started to buy or bought (never payment details).
3. Error reports (only if you say yes)
When something goes wrong, the game can send us what happened: the error message and the place in the game's code, the game version, your phone model and Android version, the install ID and the session ID. It sends at most 5 reports per session.
Play data and error reports are stored on our server, which runs on Cloudflare. We do not store your IP address with them.
4. Game settings from our server (everyone)
When the game starts, it downloads its current settings (for example, the dates of events) from our server. This request carries no personal data. Like any internet request, Cloudflare sees your IP address to deliver it; we don't keep it.
5. Ads (AppLovin)
ChapatiWar shows rewarded ads through AppLovin MAX. An ad only plays when you tap a button that says so; there are no forced ads. With Premium, you get these rewards without watching ads.
AppLovin and the ad companies it works with may collect data from your phone to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalise them. For example: your advertising ID, IP address, phone model and system, language, approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. See AppLovin's privacy policy.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) asks for your choice before ads are personalised, and you can change it later from the game's Settings. On any Android phone you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the phone's settings (for example Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
6. Purchases (Google Play)
Purchases go through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we receive the product and an order number so we can give you your item. Google's privacy policy applies to the payment.
Legal bases
For players covered by the EU and UK data protection laws (GDPR) and similar laws:
- Play data and error reports: your consent.
- Personalised ads: your consent where the law requires it. Non-personalised ads and fraud checks: our legitimate interest in keeping the game free.
- Purchases: to deliver what you bought.
- Game settings download: our legitimate interest in running the game.
Who receives data
- Cloudflare, which hosts our server (privacy policy).
- AppLovin and the ad companies it works with, for ads.
- Google, for purchases and the consent form.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your save stays on your phone until you delete the game or use Delete my data. We keep play data and error reports only as long as we need them to improve the game, and we delete them when you ask.
Your choices and rights
- Stop sharing play data: Settings → Privacy. Anything still waiting to be sent is dropped.
- Delete your data: Settings → Delete my data erases your save on the phone and the play data and error reports stored on our server for your install ID. You can also email privacy@tahaprod.tn with your Support ID. We answer within 30 days.
- Ads: the consent choices in the game's Settings (where the form applies) and your phone's ad settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it or to stop using it. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Tunisia: the INPDP).
Children
ChapatiWar is for players aged 13 and over. It is not made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Data outside your country
Cloudflare and AppLovin may process data in other countries, including the United States. They use the safeguards the law requires for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update this page and the game asks for your choice again.
This policy is also available in French and Arabic. If the versions differ, the English one applies.
